Why do I have a picture of my fridge on here?well, I was thinking back to when Nicole and I both lived off of 25 dollars a week in groceries!Wow things have changed.Priorities for one thing. Chef boy rd and ramen noodles were what kept us alive and of course PB and J but that hasnt changed.This holiday season has me thinking about progression and tying to be happy with what I have.Its not easy for me I hate to admit it.I always want more,but I am trying to be satisfied at least some of the time.Speaking of that I got some bling for the VW/rx Bug/i.Total pain in the rear to install(had to remove entire front of car headlights and all!)But I learned a lot from it.Almost there!...............and yes I have been riding my bike!!!

Just under 80 degrees today.Not bad.The 40s later this week are gonna feel like 20!Today's mission was to take advantage of the greatness mother nature divied up so I got a EARLY start thinking it was smart.I went against my intuition and grabbed the road bike since I haven't really been on it much.Things were going well for 30 min or so when I flatted on some train tracks(the first time on my road bike in years/seriously!)Its ok I have a spare...Oops the spare has been on there forever because I don't ever flat!(at least on the road)It was wholier than Jesus.Looks like I get to stand up and big ring the whole way home.Got home and switched to what I should have took in the first place, the 9.9 with bomb proof 28c tractor tires.Manage to finish off a good days work just a hair under what I planned.Would have been nice to have had some company though..I am staying south for the winter If the weather keeps up for sure!!!!

Although I forgot my phone and was unable to snap a shot of today's ride,it was a good one.Lots of people out for the good weather.I dressed perfectly for once!It was good to hit the 9.9 on the road again its been a while,not to mention we knocked the ride out 15 min faster than last week!You can see how everybody is getting stronger each week. I was feeling pretty darn good but I think a lot of that is the weather.......Tomorrow even nicer.Looks like I will be at work and only thinking of riding, there is always Tue-Thursday tho....

Today I got an early start and was fortunate enough to hit my first snow/sleet/then rain ride of the season!It was nice.(Of course by the time I finished it was sunny and 48 degrees)I like being out in the gloom and doom by myself because it gives me time to think and to not think and just be.A couple of horses were the only contact I encountered.It made me miss the long epics of last year.Once the snow turned to steady rain and soaked the gloves I remembered that I had better not goof off to much or I could run short on energy.I didn't want mother nature to serve me up a can of whoop ass so I headed back with cold fingers and new found inspiration.The hustle of the holidays is nearing.It about time I think of somebody besides myself.......

Parade

Went to the xmas parade in Williamsburg on Saturday had a good time,I didn't realize that I was going to be in it but enjoyed it anyway.Still got in some descent riding as well.Had a good group out on the Sunday extended ride. A few were even brave enough to hit it on the Fixxy ,not me though ,maybe next time the mountain bike with the 700c.I for got to throw in Nicole and I finally went off road with the FJ.That thing is unstoppable even with the slick tires,I was pretty impressed with Nicole's driving off road,She isn't afraid to get dirty and into tuff situations.....
